For years, environmentalists have been trying to draw our attention by throwing lights on the health of our planet and giving their valuable suggestions on how we can improve the living conditions, undo our mistakes and make our Earth suitable to sustain life. Several anthropogenic causes have been deteriorating the quality of our environment, disturbed the ecological balance and pushing the planet to the point of destruction.
Children are our future and their active involvement will ensure and yield a better result. Following all the suggestions and guidelines given by the eminent environmentalists, implementing their acquired knowledge and researching for more alternatives- children can walk along the path of a pollution free world and learn the judicious use of resources.
Aims And Objectives
• The main aim of establishing the Eco Club was to conserve the natural environment, natural resources and biodiversity by spreading awareness.
• Eco club empowers students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects.
• It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior.
• To create an Eco-friendly environment and create awareness about local environmental issues among children and to create a clean and green consciousness among students through various activities.
• To organize, educate and enable the unorganized and neglected underprivileged for overall development of themselves, the nature and the society.
• To develop a population that is aware of, and concerned about, the environment and its associated problems, and which has the knowledge, skills, attitudes, motivations and commitment to work individually and collectively towards solutions of current problems.
• To make the students aware about the various days of environmental significance through celebrations of the same.
Vision and Mission
Modernization has dragged along destruction directly and indirectly. The urge to seek comfort has blinded us to our nature. Injudicious use of resources and the greed to accomplish more than needed have resulted us in neglecting our nature. It is to be kept in mind that we can only have a future if we secure our present.
From these simple yet effective measures- by preparing models, following eco-friendly practices students can learn, make others aware and implement their knowledge not only today but also in the future.
The efficiency to deal with any problem doesn't come only by discussing it but actively participating in discovering ways to alleviate the same. Thus, the goal of Eco-Club, primarily, is to make each and every student accountable and motivate them to participate sincerely in matters like addressing any issues concerning our environment , proposing ideas to combat and diminish threat altogether and ensure eco-friendly practices.
